Orašac village
Orašac is a small, bucolic village in southern Croatia, overlooking the crystal Adriatic, with narrow streets dotted with local restaurants, bars and shops, hilltops draped in olive groves and picturesque Hawaii Beach.
This village was founded around AD 1040. In the centre of the town the houses are built close to each other. There are many old churches (such as the St Nicholas church built in 1250) and chapels, including the Arapovo castle.
Orašac has been classified as a famous historical site as of 1979, is 12km from Dubrovnik, to which it is administratively attached.
